As a Country Franchise Head , you will be responsible for driving the performance of the business and leading the Country Franchise management team, including creating and delivering the annual operating plan for the franchise. The focus is on delivering short and medium-term commitments while maximizing sales and profits in the long term for Alcon products. You will work with various business functions and spend time in the field interfacing with key customers and stakeholders. The role also involves developing talent and fostering a strong culture within the country franchise.

In this role, a typical day will include:

  1. Franchise Strategy:
    • Shape and execute franchise strategy in the market, anticipating change and building an organization capable of developing innovative commercial models.
    • Drive resource reallocation, growth initiatives, and resolve issues at the country level.
    • Manage product portfolio and pipeline, being informed of development priorities and timelines.
    • Interact directly with regulatory bodies to maximize portfolio potential.
  2. Franchise Marketing / Demand Generation:
    • Execute marketing plans and programs aligned with International Marketing guidelines.
    • Resource initiatives to drive demand for Focus products.
  3. P&L Performance Accountability:
    • Drive P&L growth and deliver targeted profit contributions.
    • Provide high-quality sales reporting and forecasting.
  4. Cross-Functional Franchise Leadership and Alignment:
    • Participate in regional franchise team meetings and influence strategic decisions based on country needs.
    • Provide updates on sales forecasts and launch timings.
    • Lead the country franchise matrix team, collaborating with Medical Affairs, Market Access, and other functions.
  5. Go-to-Market and Sales Execution Support:
    • Manage the sales force, including targeting, sizing, and messaging.
    • Tailor GTM models as needed for the market.
    • Build relationships with key customers, including advisory board interactions with KOLs.
  6. People Management:
    • Lead all people management activities, including recruitment, retention, and development.
    • Create and lead a high-performing team, allocating resources effectively.
    • Promote a culture of integrity, ensuring compliance and adherence to guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of delivering P&L through large teams.
  • Experience in sales and marketing leadership roles.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams in a matrix environment.
  • Ability to grow and develop teams.
  • Experience with strategic assignments beyond incremental changes.
