YOUR RESPONSABILITIES
- Develop and maintain accurate cost models that cover materials, labor, equipment, and overhead costs, while also providing precise cost estimates for new designs and engineering changes.
- Analyze product cost structures to identify key cost drivers and trends, and formulate strategies aimed at cost reduction.
- Collaborate with the procurement team to negotiate favorable supplier terms and assess quotes for competitiveness.
- Facilitate value engineering workshops to promote innovative and cost-effective design alternatives.
- Train and mentor teams on cost modeling techniques, fostering a culture of cost awareness within the organization.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Degree in Electromechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in product development, focusing on cost and value engineering.
- Advanced proficiency in English.
- Proficient in deploying cost engineering strategies effectively and influencing teams, with strong critical thinking skills and a willingness to challenge the status quo
- Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to structure and solve complex problems.
- Proficiency in project management methods
- Broad business knowledge to facilitate cross-discipline interactions.
- Strong leadership skills to drive change and effectively challenge the organization.
