Within the Project Control Department, the Cost Control Engineer is responsible for executing all cost control activities within projects of any size and complexity. Under the guidance of the Cost Control Senior Engineer, the role ensures compliance with the Company's quality requirements, Project Execution Plan, and standard methodologies and procedures. The Cost Control Engineer is accountable for the execution of assigned duties within the daily activities of the Cost Control team, working in full coordination with team members and other Operating Centers.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Cost Control Senior Engineer during the handover of bidding phase documentation, ensuring data analysis in terms of structure, congruity, and traceability.
  • Maintain and update the project cash-flow to provide data for Project Finance.
  • Periodically update the project Organization Scheme within the Cost Control System.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in using necessary Company Tools such as Project Objects, SAP, Marian, and Capital Project.
  • Prepare and issue Project invoicing documentation according to established procedures.
  • Update the Project Invoicing Register as per Company procedures.
  • Monitor and focus on each cost category according to the project workflow and Company procedures.
  • Collect and submit detailed cost data for the assessment of the Estimate to Complete.
  • Assist the Project team in evaluating Accruals cost for each Project Phase.
  • Prepare and update Cost Control documents and Periodical Reports, including PSR, Cost Control Report, Monthly prorated costs/revenues, Cash Flow, and Site Cost Control Report.
  • Support the Project Team and Risks Analysis team in evaluating cost impacts and contingency allocation due to potential variations.
  • Ensure proper interface with Company Financial and Project Control Functions and Cost Control Team members.
  • Adopt a proactive approach as part of the Project Team to achieve project objectives.
  • Provide feedback on problems/deviations to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the department.
  • Ensure data integrity during the assessment of the Estimate to Complete.

Required Skills:

  • 3/4 years of experience in similar roles.
  • Experience in international projects.
  • Experience in engineering or chemical companies.
  • Excellent use of SAP and MS Office system.
  • Fluent English.
  • Flexibility and adaptability.
  • Team-oriented, self-motivation and direction, with strong bias toward timely performance and problem resolution.
  • Attention to details, strong communications and interpersonal skills.
