Responsibilities: Sustainability Strategy Development and Implementation: develop and implement the Business Unit (BU) Sustainability Strategy to deliver value aligned with the business plan of all Platforms. Developing and revising the materiality topics, setting and tracking clear targets and KPIs, and integrating them into the business planning and performance management process. Sustainability Governance: establish and manage the global Sustainability governance, policies, standards and programs to ensure full compliance with the strategy, regulations and stakeholders' requirements. Sustainability Committee: lead the Committee, comprising the CEO and its direct reports, to drive the company’s sustainability agenda forward. Facilitate regular committee meetings to review progress, set priorities, and mobilize resources across departments, ensuring the integration and success of sustainability initiatives across the globe. Sustainability Communication, Training and Reporting: Oversee the sustainability report process, following international methodologies (GRI, SASB, CSRD), as well as other related reports requested by stakeholders. Monitor and analyze sustainability trends and regulations to ensure the company's practices remain ahead of compliance requirements and industry benchmarks. Shareholder Sustainability Focal Point: act as the primary focal point of Nidec Corporation. Manage and cascade shareholders’ directives, goals and requests and report back with relevant/necessary information and KPIs. ESG Risks and Opportunities: map risks and opportunities in all the company’s areas. This activity follows global trends and regulations requested by stakeholders and Nidec Corporation Japan. Support and guide other areas in creating programs and projects to deliver the company's sustainability targets: mapping existing practices and initiatives within ACIM business unit, assessing ESG risks and opportunities, developing targets and managing KPIs in different topics. Team and budget management: giving feedback and relying on defined processes/systems for salary movements and other people management issues. Related to budget, develop tactical and strategic planning, budget management and control of resources available for the department. Requirements: Higher education in Engineering, Biological Sciences, Administration, Law, International Relations or related fields; Master's or specialization (MBA) in Sustainability, Environmental, Social, and Corporate Governance (ESG), Business Management, climate change or similar topics. Experience in developing and implementing sustainability strategies and programs. Strong knowledge of global sustainability standards, environmental regulations, and ESG reporting frameworks. Project Management skills. Fluent in English; other languages such as Spanish, Italian, French, and Mandarin will be an advantage. Soft Skills: Strong communication and leadership skills to facilitate integration between a diverse workforce/culture, and with different stakeholders; Ability to achieve cross-functional buy-in and influence across an organization; Strong ability to connect and lead across multiple topics without losing sight of the big picture and prioritize based on business needs and resources; Innovative and solution-oriented, with the ability to translate vision into action.
