Role purpose:
Ownership of all legal, corporate and compliance matters in the Italian entity. The role provides legal security and acting as first-level internal legal advisor and coordinator of external law firms. The position covers corporate governance, NPL-related legal matters, labor law support and compliance.
Key responsibilities:
• Supervision of corporate governance and statutory obligations of the company
• Preparation and control of corporate documentation and deadlines
• Coordination and management of external law firms
• First-level legal analysis and preparation of solutions before escalation
• Legal support for Shareholders Meeting and Board of Directors resolutions
• Legal support (defined scope) in NPL portfolio acquisition processes
• Support to HR in disciplinary and employment-related matters
• Compliance framework maintenance, including Modello 231
• Legal risk identification and audit support
Requirements:
• Law degree
• 5 – 8+ years of professional experience as in-house lawyer or in a law firm serving financial/corporate clients
• Strong knowledge of corporate law and compliance matters
• Experience in working with external legal advisors
• Experience in financial services, banking or NPL environment is a strong advantage
• Experience in a matrix environment with cross‑functional responsibilities
• Ability to work as topic owner and business-oriented legal advisor
• English at working proficiency level (min. B2)
