Corporate Development Director

Overview

In this role you will lead technical development and assessment of utility-scale renewable assets across Europe for an investment fund. You will oversee feasibility, site evaluation, and EPC coordination from concept to COD, while building partnerships for co-development and acquisitions. You will shape the commercial plan in Europe and grow the project pipeline including greenfield and brownfield opportunities. You will ensure regulatory compliance, permitting, interconnection, and grid‑code alignment. This role offers scope to influence a large‑scale renewable portfolio across Italy, Iberia and Europe.

Responsibilities

• Lead initial technical workstreams for renewable assets by conducting feasibility studies and site reviews
• Establish partnerships and pursue co‑development for project acquisition
• Develop and originate new onshore projects
• Identify projects near Ready to Buy (RtB) and assess acquisition potential
• Prepare and implement commercial plan in Europe
• Increase greenfield and brownfield project pipelines
• Manage development permitting processes
• Monitor regulatory, interconnection, and grid‑code changes for compliance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Renewable Energy or related field
• >8 years in technical development and origination of renewable‑energy projects (solar, wind, or storage) including early‑stage development
• Experience in the EPC cycle with on‑site coordination and technical support from groundbreaking to COD
• Fluency in English and Italian
