Role Overview
As a Corporate Credit Risk Manager you will be responsible for:
- Assessing the credit and financial strength of BBVA’s clients by performing fundamental credit analysis of counterparties, using both quantitative and qualitative factors.
- Preparation, submission for approval and presentation at relevant Credit Committees of Financial Programs through relevant discretion processes.
- Approving utilization of sanctioned limits within discretion.
- Ensuring the establishment and effectiveness of credit policies and risk limits as well as compliance with risk appetite.
- Supporting and providing guidance to other units within BBVA.
Qualifications – Experience and Technical Knowledge
- BA/BSc Finance or Business Management or any other related subject.
- Demonstrable experience in credit analysis, corporate advisory, credit policies review and regulatory reporting in Banking Groups active in Retail, Private, Corporate segments and Investment Banking of at least 4 years.
- Development of local credit reporting system.
- Strong analytical skills, including understanding of key financial components (liquidity position, leverage profile, etc.) and the ability to form independent opinions on credit, recognizing emerging risks.
- Solid Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) skills.
- Understanding of banking products and sustainability issues.
Languages
- Spanish and English: fluent.
- Italian native speaker.
