Labor and Employment Attorney

Location: San Antonio, Texas

Job Type: Full-Time

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Labor and Employment Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will provide counsel and representation to employers on a wide range of labor and employment matters, including compliance, litigation, internal investigations, labor relations, and workplace policy development.
This role requires strong advocacy skills, a deep understanding of state and federal employment laws, and the ability to offer practical, business‑oriented solutions to complex workplace issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise clients on employment‑related legal issues including hiring, discipline, termination, discrimination, wage and hour compliance, leaves of absence, and workplace safety.
  • Represent employers in federal and state courts, arbitrations, and before administrative agencies such as the EEOC, DOL, and NLRB.
  • Draft and review employment contracts, separation agreements, handbooks, and workplace policies.
  • Conduct internal investigations and assist clients with responding to employee complaints and regulatory inquiries.
  • Stay current with evolving labor and employment laws and provide training to clients on compliance and best practices.
  • Collaborate with clients to proactively manage legal risk and develop HR strategies aligned with business goals.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law and in good standing in Texas.
  • 2–7+ years of labor and employment law experience, preferably in a law firm or in‑house environment.
  • Strong litigation and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and client counseling abilities.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex matters simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

  • Expertise in commercial law.
  • Comprehensive understanding of corporate and business law.
  • Experience in mergers & acquisitions, corporate governance, capital raises, corporate reorganizations, and complex entity structures.
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
  • 2+ years of legal experience.
  • Licensed in the State of Texas.

Bankruptcy Collections Attorney

Location: San Antonio, Texas
Job Type: Full‑time

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail‑oriented Bankruptcy Collections Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have experience representing creditors in bankruptcy proceedings and creditors’ rights litigation, with a strong working knowledge of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code and Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent creditors in Chapter 7, 11, and 13 bankruptcy proceedings.
  • Draft and file pleadings, motions, proofs of claim, and objections.
  • Attend court hearings, creditor meetings (341 meetings), and mediations.
  • Manage a portfolio of accounts and develop legal strategies for debt recovery.
  • Negotiate settlements, stipulations, and payment agreements.
  • Perform legal research and stay updated on bankruptcy law developments.
  • Communicate with clients, trustees, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and ethical standards.
  • Maintain accurate records and timely reporting of case status and outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law and in good standing in Texas.
  • 2–5+ years of experience in bankruptcy and/or collections law.
  • Strong understanding of creditor’s rights and the Bankruptcy Code.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and courtroom advocacy skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Proficiency with case management software and legal research tools.
