Position Summary
MARINI S.p.A., a global leader in the design and manufacturing of Asphalt Mixing Plants and a key company within the FAYAT Group, is seeking an experienced and visionary Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead the operational strategy of our Asphalt Plant Division.
The Role
Reporting closely to the Group Operations Management, the COO will drive the management, optimization, and continuous development of all operational activities across the division.
Your mission is to ensure world-class production efficiency, a high-performing supply chain, and the successful achievement of growth, profitability, and technological innovation targets aligned with Group strategy.
Main Responsibilities
Operational Excellence
- Lead, coordinate, and optimize the areas of Production, Supply Chain, Purchasing, and Logistics to ensure streamlined and efficient operations.
- Oversee and manage the annual capital investment plan, including machinery, plant infrastructure, and Industry 4.0 technologies.
- Evaluate ROI to guarantee ongoing technological modernization and the competitiveness of the production site.
- Define, implement, and monitor operational strategies aimed at maximizing production capacity, reducing operating costs, and improving overall efficiency.
- Champion Lean Manufacturing principles and lead continuous improvement and digital transformation initiatives to elevate operational standards.
- Oversee operational human resources, fostering a culture grounded in performance, accountability, and workplace safety.
- Monitor key operational KPIs and produce regular performance analyses for both local Management and the international Group.
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical background.
- Solid experience in the plant engineering sector, with proven roles in Operational Management or Plant Management within structured, internationally operating manufacturing companies.
- Background in product and process industrialization is considered a strong plus.
- Advanced knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and tools for optimizing complex production processes and supply chains.
- Strong leadership with a strategic mindset, excellent problem-solving abilities, and proven change-management capability.
- Fluent command of the English language.
