Control and Automation Engineer

Overview

As Control and Automation Engineer you are responsible for the analysis of the requirements, implementation and verification of components or subsystems of algorithms, including vehicle control monitoring. Control system development in Y.Share is a process well balanced between data analysis, design, modelling and simulation of dynamic systems. Your work is a mix of software development, system testing and integration of components that allow you to control, estimate and identify signals or states. The role will also act as the direct technical point of contact for clients on matters related to operations, new developments, and customer service, and will be responsible for new HW/SW integrations, making use—where necessary—of external consultants under their direct supervision.

Responsibilities

• Acquire data from a logging system, analyze all signals, and extract relevant information
• Develop a set of algorithms for system estimation, prediction, or control
• Integrate the algorithms into the software architecture (Embedded, PLC, or Cloud)
• Test the outputs of the previous phases and prepare reports and presentations
• Organize meetings to review project progress and produce the supporting documentation
• Plan FW/SW releases in line with project timelines and customer needs
• Analyze communication protocols and carry out feasibility studies for new HW integrations
• Gather customer requirements and translate them into technical specifications for integration proposals/project delivery (embedded devices / cloud platforms)
• Manage the operational roll-out of new installations/integrations
• Project management
• Provide technical support during commercial meetings

Required Background And Technical Skills

• Master’s degree in Automation Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering
• At least 2 years of experience in similar contexts
• Skills of control strategies and algorithms
• Knowledge of Matlab / Simulink
• Software development skills in C
• Knowledge of logging systems (CAN bus)
• Basic Knowledge of RS232-RS485 communication standards
• Basic Knowledge of HTTP REST Communication
• Basic Knowledge of SQL Server
• Basic understanding of GNSS technologies (e.g., GPS, GLONASS)
• Basic understanding of EOL (end-of-line) production procedures

Nice to have

• Basic knowledge of C# language
