Consulting Director – Digital Manufacturing

We are looking for a Consulting Director with a passion for driving business development and growth across Digital Manufacturing domains in the life sciences industry. You will play a key strategic and cross‑functional role in expanding NNIT’s client base, shaping service offerings, and enabling our customers’ digital transformation journeys.
This position offers a unique opportunity to operate at the intersection of strategy, innovation, and delivery—building new opportunities, influencing NNIT’s strategic direction, and contributing to project execution as a senior consultant and trusted advisor.
What Digital Manufacturing Means At NNIT
At NNIT, Digital Manufacturing in life sciences spans three key digitalisation domains:
- Manufacturing operations – including Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and shopfloor automation (with synergies to Automation IT/OT initiatives)
- Laboratory digitalization – connecting data, analytics, and processes across the pharma value chain
- Warehouse logistics and material flows – enabling connected, compliant, and efficient end‑to‑end supply chain operations
Our goal is to help life science manufacturers achieve smart, compliant, and connected operations by integrating technology, process excellence, and regulatory expertise.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development (≈ 50%)
- Actively drive and expand NNIT’s Digital Manufacturing business across all domains, in close collaboration with Sales and Delivery.
- Identify key stakeholders, generate leads, and cultivate opportunities with both existing and new life sciences clients.
- Collect and analyse market and customer insights to inform business strategy, service development, and go‑to‑market activities.
- Structure, improve, and harmonise the Digital Manufacturing service catalogue, including internal delivery standards and external marketing content.
- Create compelling storytelling and go‑to‑market messaging that highlights NNIT’s value proposition, in collaboration with domain experts and senior consultants.
- Participate in conferences, networking, and industry events to promote NNIT’s capabilities and expand the company’s professional network.
Consultancy & Delivery (≈ 50%)
- Deliver senior‑level consulting engagements such as digital transformation strategy, programme and project management, or enterprise architecture within the Digital Manufacturing space.
- Collaborate with domain experts and technical teams to ensure the delivery of high‑quality, value‑driven Digital Manufacturing solutions.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients on their digitalisation journey—bridging business objectives, technology priorities, and regulatory expectations.
- Support proposal development, statements of work, and early sales process stages with strategic and delivery insights.
Your Qualifications And Experiences
- MSc in Engineering, Life Sciences, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- 12+ years of experience in digital transformation, preferably within the life sciences industry.
- Demonstrated success in business development and client engagement, including lead generation, presales, RFP response, and revenue growth activities.
- Broad consulting experience across digitalisation initiatives in manufacturing, laboratories, and supply chain/logistics.
- Strong project or programme management background, with the ability to align technology and business objectives.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a collaborative and solution‑oriented mindset.
- Strong command of English; proficiency in a Central European language (e.g., German) is a plus.
