Consultant Cardiologist

A Cardiologist is responsible for diagnosing, treating, and preventing diseases related to the cardiovascular system. The role involves assessing patients with heart conditions, performing diagnostic tests, prescribing treatments, and providing long-term care to manage heart health. The ideal candidate should have extensive knowledge of cardiology, excellent diagnostic skills, and a patient-focused approach. Strong communication and the ability to work collaboratively with a medical team are essential.

Responsibilities :

• diagnose and treat heart-related conditions, including hypertension, coronary artery disease, and arrhythmias
• perform and interpret diagnostic tests such as ECGs, echocardiograms, and stress tests
• develop personalized treatment plans, including medication, lifestyle modifications, and surgical interventions when necessary
• collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including surgeons and primary care doctors, to ensure comprehensive patient care
• educate patients on heart health, risk factors, and preventative care measures
• monitor patients’ progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
• stay updated on the latest cardiology advancements, treatments, and research
• maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with medical regulations
• provide emergency care for patients with acute cardiovascular issues, such as heart attacks
• participate in hospital or clinic meetings, training programs, and continuous medical education

Requirements :

• medical degree and specialization in cardiology (MD, DO, or equivalent)
• board certification in cardiology is preferred
• proven experience as a cardiologist in a hospital or clinical setting
• strong diagnostic and decision-making skills
• proficiency in using medical diagnostic equipment and software
• excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• ability to work under pressure and handle critical cases
• fluency in English; The hospital is located in Dubai
