Construction Methods Engineer - MEP specialist

Purpose of the position: As Construction Methods Engineer specialising in civil and railway/metro system plant works, with particular focus on non-system civil plant works (MEP) and railway/metro system plant works, you will report to the Head of the SUSTAINABLE INFRASTRUCTURE CONSTRUCTION DIVISION and be part of the Sustainable Infrastructure Business Line.
How can you support us? Here below your responsibilities:

• Collaborate in the development of assigned construction activities, which may concern both the tendering phase and project execution, ensuring that these are carried out correctly and within scheduled timeframes, in compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards, as well as respecting the specific constraints imposed by various contexts.
• Analyse and implement construction procedures, study and define plans that ensure the integrity of structural components during construction phases, verify calculations and procedures underlying the project, guaranteeing compliance with HSE requirements.
• Provide proactive support across all Saipem functions involved and Project functions as needed, implementing the most efficient and effective solutions for construction activities to benefit the target objectives.
• Assist your manager and other involved functions in preparing requests for quotations and evaluating technical offers for activities within your remit during both the bidding and construction phases
• Analyse and develop detailed schedules for the works to be carried out.
• Contribute to the collection and management of all key performance indicators identified by your manager for the proper monitoring and analysis of the progress of both tendering and construction activities.
  

Education: Master’s Degree/bachelor’s degree in: Electrical or Mechanical Engineering;
Experience: at least 5 years in the field of construction of civil MEP works (not related to system works) and system MEP works for railway/metro projects.
Languages: English B2;
Skills
Technical Skills:

• Knowledge of regulations related to public works in Italy and within the European context;
• Understanding of specific technical standards applicable to civil and system installations for railway and metro projects, as well as more generally for infrastructure (e.g., Eurocodes, environmental regulations, etc.);
• Good familiarity with the functional diagrams of civil electrical and mechanical systems (such as air conditioning/ventilation, fire protection, lighting, LFM, etc.);
• Knowledge of system installations for railway and metro lines (including electric traction, signaling, telecommunications);
• Ability to draft technical reports in English;
• Strong skills in assessing technical feasibility in relation to the context and interface with civil works;
  

IT Skills: Microsoft Office, Project, Autocad;
