Job title : Construction Manager | Freelance

Location : Siena, Tuscany

Currie & Brown Italy is seeking a Construction Manager to support a high-profile hospitality project in Tuscany. The role is offered as a freelance consultancy. Regular on-site presence at the project location is required.

Requirements

• Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Project Management, a technical diploma, or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing mid-scale construction projects; hospitality sector experience is a strong plus.
• Proven experience with permitting processes and interactions with public authorities.
• Excellent technical writing skills, strong client-management capabilities, and effective communication both internally and externally.
• A collaborative mindset, along with reliability, adaptability, and a proactive approach to problem‑solving.

Activities

• Verify work progress (SAL) in line with project schedule and budget.
• Management of a multi-contractor schedule.
• Review multidisciplinary construction drawings and assess progress of works.
• Lead meetings with contractors, suppliers, site teams, and the client.
• Manage procurement activities.
• Perform snagging activities and support final commissioning.
• Oversee and coordinate daily on-site construction activities.
