New Eco Landscape Design & Build is a sustainably-minded landscape design, construction, and maintenance company specializing in high-quality, low-impact urban gardens throughout NYC.
We’re looking for a full-time Construction Crew Lead who loves building detailed outdoor spaces, leads by example, and takes pride in running a clean, organized job site. This is a hands‑on role for someone who enjoys both managing people and working with their tools.
Responsibilities/Duties
- Lead and manage construction crews on active job sites
- Oversee daily site operations, safety, and quality control
- Perform hands‑on construction work including carpentry, masonry, and custom outdoor builds
- Schedule projects and coordinate daily and long‑term workflows
- Order, receive, and manage materials, furniture, and hardware
- Communicate clearly with owners, project managers, and clients
- Track employee hours and collect job‑related receipts
- Drive company vehicles locally (NYC)
- Work professionally around high‑end residential clients, protecting homes and public spaces at all times
Qualifications/Requirements
- Strong knowledge of construction principles and outdoor building methods
- Proven experience building fences, pergolas, patios, steps, and custom outdoor cabinetry/furnishings
- Ability to manage people, stay organized, and keep projects moving
- Minimum 2 years of on‑site construction experience (NYC experience preferred)
- Valid driver’s license with NYC driving experience
- Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs
- Proficient with power tools, carpentry, and masonry tools
- Punctual, professional, detail‑oriented, and reliable
