All about the role

As a Connectivity Architecture & Development Director, you will be responsible for leading the architectural vision and overseeing the development process to ensure innovative and functional design solutions. You will manage cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time, within scope, and budget, driving strategic planning, fostering collaboration, and ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices.

What you'll do:

• Define the vision, principles, and long-term roadmap for Connectivity, Mobile, and Backend Architecture aligned with corporate goals.
• Lead cloud-native backend platform design and development on AWS for digital services.
• Manage mobile app architecture and development, ensuring scalability, security, and user experience.
• Oversee comprehensive solution architecture covering mobile, backend, APIs, data, connectivity, and cloud.
• Implement governance processes for architecture, code quality, CI/CD, security, and cloud cost management.
• Mentor and supervise architecture and development teams to promote engineering excellence.
• Ensure integration and consistency across application, data, infrastructure, connectivity, and security.
• Drive evaluation of emerging technologies in relevant domains and assess business impact.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align digital solutions with business and operational requirements.
• Define and track KPIs related to platform performance, security, efficiency, and quality.
• Develop and maintain architectural assets like reference models, coding standards, and reusable components.
• Lead vendor and partner strategies for cloud, mobile platforms, and tools, supporting sourcing decisions.

Competences:

• 5+ years of experience in connectivity, cloud platforms, and software development, with proven leadership roles.
• Strong expertise in AWS cloud architecture (compute, storage, networking, serverless, container platforms, security, monitoring, cost management).
• Solid background in backend development (microservices, APIs, event-driven architectures, data pipelines).
• Proven experience in mobile application development architectures (native and/or cross-platform) and mobile-backend integration.
• Strong understanding of DevSecOps and CI/CD practices, infrastructure as code, and automated testing.
• Deep knowledge of security-by-design principles, including PKI, IAM, data protection, API security, and mobile security.
• Experience designing and operating large-scale, highly available, distributed systems.
• Ability to lead and scale cross-functional, multicultural engineering teams.
• Strong strategic mindset combined with hands‑on technical credibility.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, bridging business, product, and engineering.

Nice to have

• Background in product-oriented organizations or platform business models.
• Familiarity with industry standards and frameworks (TOGAF, TM Forum, ETSI, 3GPP).
• Experience in international environments and large enterprise transformations.
• Advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Telecommunications.
