About the Role; We are seeking a highly skilled
CAD Automation Engineer
to join an innovative engineering automation project focused on developing advanced software solutions integrated with professional CAD platforms.
In this role, you will design and develop automation tools that interact directly with CAD environments, process structured geometric data, and support intelligent feature recognition capabilities. You will work at the intersection of
software engineering, computational geometry, CAD automation, and applied AI
, contributing to the development of scalable and high-performance engineering solutions.
This position is ideal for candidates who enjoy solving complex technical challenges involving geometry processing, algorithm development, and engineering software systems.
Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain CAD automation tools and workflows using Python. Integrate, customize, and extend CAD platforms through APIs, preferably NX Open or equivalent CAD frameworks. Design and implement algorithms for geometric analysis, feature recognition, and pattern matching. Process and analyze geometric and parametric data structures to extract engineering parameters and insights. Build scalable backend services and automation pipelines for engineering applications. Optimize performance and efficiency of geometry-intensive computations. Collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Contribute to the integration of AI/ML techniques for classification, recognition, and intelligent automation use cases. Ensure software quality through testing, documentation, and continuous improvement practices.
Required Qualifications Strong professional experience in Python development. Hands-on experience with CAD automation and CAD APIs (NX Open preferred). Solid understanding of computational geometry, geometric algorithms, or geometry processing. Experience developing algorithmic, data-processing, or engineering software systems. Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with engineering data structures and technical software environments. Ability to work independently in a remote, collaborative environment.
Preferred Qualifications Experience with computer vision or image-based feature extraction techniques. Knowledge of optimization algorithms, search techniques, or matching systems. Experience working with industrial engineering or manufacturing software. Understanding of parametric modeling concepts and workflows. Exposure to AI/ML applications in engineering environments.
Nice to Have Experience with Siemens NX or similar enterprise CAD platforms. Knowledge of graph-based algorithms, geometric similarity analysis, or topology-based processing. Background in mechanical engineering, manufacturing, or industrial automation. Experience developing intelligent engineering tools or digital engineering solutions.
