Responsibilities
Our company is looking for a Compliance Officer to cover a maternity leave period of the Officer in charge.

In the context of Corporate and Investment Banking activities, under the supervision of Senior Officers, your duties will include reviewing documentation and data to ensure compliance with financial crime regulations, particularly KYC. The primary goal is to prevent money laundering and terrorist financing during KYC processes.

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Investigate and assess risks posed by new potential clients or review existing ones, including reviewing KYC files escalated to the Compliance department.
  • Analyze client requests related to transactions and activities, especially when approvals are required, considering AML red flags and SAR identification duties.
  • Regularly examine data and solutions to verify compliance with KYC regulations.
  • Maintain an organized audit trail of activities and escalate violations.
  • Review or develop KYC policies and procedures.

You will work in a team dedicated to financial security, including anti-corruption efforts, and participate in data analysis for compliance assessments and regulator reporting.

It is essential to be a strong team player while maintaining confidentiality.

The role requires high ethical standards, attention to detail, curiosity for documentation, and fluency in control activities. Capabilities include navigating KYC matters, handling administrative tasks alongside advisory/control activities, and excellent Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis.

Profile required

Studies & experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in law, finance, business management, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in KYC matters.

Language skills:

  • Italian: C2
  • English: C1
  • French: Nice to have

Technical, operational & soft skills:

  • Knowledge of UE and ITA KYC/AML regulations and international standards (e.g., EBA).
  • Excellent Excel skills for data analysis.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • High ethical standards and pragmatism.
  • Ability to handle large volumes of documentation with curiosity and precision.
  • Comfort with control activities and administrative tasks.
  • Flexibility and ability to meet tight deadlines under pressure.
