Role Overview
You will work as a member of the Italian Compliance team based in Milan, focusing on the Due Diligence review process with direct line to the team manager.
Responsibilities
- Conduct AML Due Diligence reviews on prospects, new clients and policy transactions by assessing and analysing documentation, performing AML/CTF screenings, and determining if supporting documents are required.
- Assist in performing AML and CTF investigations.
- Assist in the preparation of suspicious transaction reviews and reporting.
- Support the maintenance of Italian branch procedures with regards to regulatory developments and group requirements.
- Contribute to the performance of controls defined in the local Controls Monitoring Plan.
- Act as the point of contact for Relationship Managers and Client Service team to ensure smooth collection of required and pending documentation.
- Collaborate closely with other teams and stakeholders to achieve joint objectives.
Qualifications
- Degree in Economics or Law, and 1‑2 years experience in Compliance or Auditing, preferably in banking or insurance.
- Knowledge of Italian AML laws, rules and regulations or of another EU Member state.
- Ability to balance legal requirements with commercial aspects of the business.
- Proactive, flexible, and able to work in a fast‑paced demanding environment.
- Strong analytical skills, initiative, planning and organisational skills.
- Rigorous and detail‑oriented.
- Enthusiastic team player and self‑motivated.
- Fluent in Italian and English.
