Comparative evaluation procedure for n. 1 post-doc research contract - Department of Legal Studies

Position Summary Title of the project: "Artificial Intelligence and Distributed Ledger Technologies in Deliberative Assemblies: Democratic Risks and Legal Informatics Design Methodologies". The candidate will research the impact of AI and DLT on deliberative assemblies (parliaments, regional councils, municipal bodies) and governing institutions, examining how these technologies may erode institutional identities, the competencies of elected bodies, and democratic representativeness. The study will explore the administrative role of AI and DLT, potential delegation of critical decisions to the operational tier, data concentration effects on power imbalances, and opportunities to strengthen public participation, fact‑checking, and policy traceability.

Responsibilities

Conduct research on the influence of AI and DLT on deliberative assemblies and governing institutions.

Analyze potential erosion of institutional identities and competencies of elected bodies.
