Communication Strategist

The Company

Como 1907 Football Club, owned by SENT Entertainment, is competing in Serie A and is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Communication Strategist to join our Como-based Team.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Communications and Media, this senior role requires political awareness, international experience, and a strong understanding of the football landscape.

The Communications Strategist will shape narratives that resonate both domestically and internationally, working closely with leadership and ensuring messaging that resonates on all levels. The role will involve advising on crisis and issues management, developing proactive campaigns, and ensuring consistent positioning across markets. The position will also include writing and managing the story telling across owned channels and BLU magazine.

This position is offered initially as a 12-month contract with the intention to move to permanent thereafter.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies that align with business goals and resonate with global audiences.
• Advise senior leadership on all matters related to corporate reputation, crisis and issues management, and market positioning.
• Manage all owned communication channels, including BLU magazine, to ensure consistent and compelling storytelling.
• Lead the creation of proactive communication campaigns to build brand awareness and enhance public perception.
• Serve as a central point of contact for all communication-related matters, ensuring a unified narrative across domestic and international markets.

Qualifications

• Minimum of ten years’ experience in communications, media, or political/crisis advisory
• Bilingual in Italian and English
• Background in political or crisis communications
• Strong knowledge of the football industry and its media dynamics
• Demonstrated ability to craft narratives that influence at the highest levels
• Wider brand communications experience is a strong plus
