We are currently seeking a Commodity Specialist to join our dynamic team in Piove di Sacco (PD), Italy .
We are seeking a detail oriented and proactive Commodity Specialist to support the strategic sourcing and procurement activities for assigned commodities. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the availability, quality, and cost competitiveness of materials and services, contributing directly to operational success and long term supply chain resilience.
What kind of work will you be doing?
- Support the development and execution of commodity strategies for assigned categories.
- Conduct supplier research, benchmarking, and market analysis to identify sourcing opportunities.
- Manage day to day supplier communication, including RFQs, price updates, and delivery coordination.
- Analyze cost structures, evaluate quotations, and assist in negotiation processes.
- Monitor supplier performance and maintain accurate procurement data in ERP systems.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Operations, and Finance on product changes, cost optimization, and supply improvements.
- Assist in cost reduction initiatives, value engineering activities, and continuous improvement projects.
- Ensure alignment with procurement policies, compliance standards, and internal procedures.
What will make you successful?
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, or related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain (internships or junior roles considered).
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.
- Proficiency with Excel; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage.
