Commissioning Engineer

Purpose of the role: To manage the preparation of the pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up activities, ensuring the coordination with the Engineering Department throughout the basic and detail design phase. Key objectives: · Define commissioning systems and prepare the relevant procedures with the assistance of discipline engineers · Prepare the procedures for pre/commissioning, start-up and test run activities, verifying the compliance with applicable Client procedures and/or regulations. · Analyse the contractual technical specifications related to pre/commissioning activity. · Provide pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up input to the project, throughout the engineering phase participating in the design review and constructability review to support operability and maintainability issues. · Liaise with Project Control for Commissioning schedule definition. · Prepare all the forms to certify the site tests. · Ensure, from the commissioning perspective, preliminary planning and identification of the work execution sequence and its time scheduling, detailing the necessary milestones. · Provide input to the construction team for project construction strategy, execution planning and contracting strategy · Review the project technical documentation and the contractual requirements · Investigate technical problems with assistance from specialist engineers and suppliers · Schedule and coordinate site work to reach deadlines · Carry out detailed plant plans and checkout with engineering flow diagrams · Advise or direct Client's staff about pre-commissioning, commissioning and start up procedures · Schedule or coordinate site activities of vendor representatives and subcontractors · Complete and manage the pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up ITR’s · Assist the completion and the system hand-over to the Client · Prepare the commissioning dossiers Core competencies: Knowledge in: o Construction & Commissioning Engineering o Technical Bid Evaluation; o Site Commissioning o Construction Commissioning completion system (such CCMS, ACS) · Experience on site · Strong leadership, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, decision making, and technical skills are required to ensure the delivery of challenging project and the achievement of client targets · Degree in engineering subjects such as Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Chemical Engineering · Fluent in Italian & English · Availability to business travel and international work
