Role Description The Commis Chef role at Greyheath Hospitality is an on-site position based in Como with the availability to move across properties.
The Commis Chef will support the kitchen brigade in daily food preparation, assisting with mise en place, basic cooking tasks, and plating under the guidance of senior chefs.
Responsibilities include maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation, adhering to hygiene and safety regulations, and ensuring a clean and organized workstation. The role also involves receiving and storing ingredients, monitoring stock rotation, and minimizing food waste.
The Commis Chef will collaborate closely with colleagues across the kitchen to deliver consistent, high-quality dishes aligned with Greyheath Hospitality’s standards.
Salary Range
The salary range for the role is between RAL Euros 23,000 to Euros 25,000. The permanent contract position is based on 40 hours per week.
Qualifications
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
- Knowledge of Cooking techniques and a willingness to learn new methods and cuisines.
- Commitment to rigorous Hygiene and food safety standards, including cleanliness and proper handling of ingredients.
- Effective Communication skills and a collaborative approach
- Relevant culinary school diploma is preferred.
- Previous experience in hotels, villas or luxury accomodatations
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and a positive, learning-focused attitude.
- Basic proficiency in English is prefereable
