A leading international contractor is seeking a Commercial Manager to join their growing operations in Lisbon , supporting the delivery of major industrial, logistics, and mission critical construction projects across Portugal and the wider Iberian market.

As part of a commercial team responsible for high-value, fast-track developments, the successful candidate will play a key role in managing the commercial lifecycle of projects from pre-construction through to final account.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the financial and commercial management of multiple large-scale construction schemes.
  • Manage subcontractor procurement, tender reviews, and contract negotiation.
  • Lead monthly commercial reporting, forecasting, and cost/value reconciliations.
  • Support contract administration, change control, and risk management processes.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, consultants, and delivery teams.
  • Assist in developing project budgets and ensuring robust cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Work closely with the site and project management teams to ensure projects are delivered within budget and in line with commercial expectations.
  • Contribute to the company’s growth in the Portuguese market by supporting strategic bids and long-term frameworks.


Candidate Requirements:

  • Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Commercial Manager or Senior QS on large-scale construction projects.
  • Background working with a main contractor, ideally in industrial, logistics, or mission critical sectors.
  • Strong commercial acumen and contractual knowledge (e.g. FIDIC, NEC or local Portuguese forms).
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and reporting skills.
  • English language proficiency essential; Portuguese and/or Spanish beneficial.
