WORKING ENVIRONMENT & PROJECTS
You will be joining a specialist team focused on the delivery of hyperscale and colocation data centre programmes — one of the most active and fast-moving sectors in the built environment today. The projects you will work across are large-scale, technically demanding, and require a sophisticated commercial approach to manage complexity and drive value for clients.

Based in Milan, you will be well-positioned to support the growing pipeline of data centre activity across Italy and the broader Southern European market. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead commercial management across hyperscale and colocation data centre programmes from inception through to completion
- Prepare and manage cost plans, estimates, budgets, and commercial reports throughout the project lifecycle
- Oversee procurement strategy and contract administration, ensuring commercial risk is effectively identified and managed
- Provide expert commercial advice to clients and internal project teams, supporting informed decision-making at all stages
- Manage and review change control processes, variations, and claims in line with contractual obligations
- Monitor programme spend, forecast cost at completion, and implement measures to drive cost efficiency and value
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and key project stakeholders
- Support the management and mentoring of junior commercial team members
- Contribute to business development activities and internal knowledge-sharing initiatives
WHAT YOU NEED
- Proven experience as a Commercial Manager, Senior QS, or equivalent within a project advisory or consultancy environment
- Strong background delivering on data centre, mission-critical, or other technically complex construction programmes
- Comprehensive understanding of commercial management across the full project lifecycle, including procurement, contract administration, and cost control
- Experience working with NEC, FIDIC, or similar forms of contract in a fast-paced, high-value project environment
- Excellent analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to communicate complex commercial positions clearly to clients and senior stakeholders
- Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills — this role requires confidence engaging at all levels
- Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related discipline; MRICS or equivalent professional membership desirable
