Commercial Finance Manager
Descrizione dell'offerta
Are you a commercially driven Finance Manager ready to influence growth, margin and performance in a PE-backed international business?
MacGregor Black are partnering with a private equity–backed international organisation to appoint a Finance Manager in Rome - a key leadership hire supporting the Italian operation during a period of integration, performance focus, and international expansion.
This role goes beyond traditional financial control.
You will act as the senior finance lead for Italy, partnering closely with Sales, Operations and Supply Chain to drive profitability, optimise pricing, and deliver actionable insights that support commercial decision-making.
Reporting to Group Finance in the UK, you will combine hands-on financial ownership with strong commercial acumen, ensuring robust reporting and compliance while actively shaping business performance.
The Opportunity

- Lead pricing analysis, gross-to-net evaluation, and customer/product profitability reviews.
- Deliver clear, insight-led reporting that influences commercial and operational decisions.
- Support strategic initiatives, business cases, and investment evaluations.
Financial Leadership & Performance Management
- Own budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning for the Italian entity.
- Translate financial data into forward-looking insights and performance drivers.
- Provide variance analysis and clear commentary to Group Finance.
Financial Control & Governance
- Lead statutory and management accounting activities for Italy.
- Own month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes aligned with Group standards.
- Ensure compliance with Italian GAAP, tax regulations, and Group governance.
- Strengthen financial controls and support ERP/system improvements.
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or Italian equivalent).
- Strong commercial finance experience with proven business partnering capability.
- Experience driving margin analysis, pricing decisions, and performance improvement.
- Solid grounding in financial control and statutory reporting.
- Comfortable operating in a PE-backed or high-growth environment.

- Fluent in Italian and English.
- Hands-on, pragmatic, and confident influencing non-finance stakeholders.
This is an opportunity to:
- Operate at the intersection of finance and commercial strategy.
- Influence real business decisions, not just report on them.
- Join a growing, PE-backed business with international exposure.
- Take ownership of the Italian finance function while shaping performance.
