Cloud Technical Lead

As a Cloud Technical Lead on the SAS Cloud team, you will guide hosted and remotely managed SAS environments, working with customers, analysts, developers, and implementation teams to ensure high-quality service delivery. You will lead projects end-to-end, provide expert consultations on upgrades and migrations, and mentor teams while shaping best practices in enterprise application technology. Your role focuses on uptime, performance, and continuous improvement across global engagements, with a strong emphasis on security and customer satisfaction.

• Lead hosted and remotely managed customer projects from kickoff through UAT and go-live, ensuring smooth execution and technical oversight
• Provide expert consultation for major post-deployment changes such as upgrades and migrations
• Define and validate technical requirements to avoid delays and ensure SAS Cloud standards
• Act as a SAS Administrator for high-complexity or urgent tasks, configure and debug mid-tier software, manage container-based applications, develop tools for SAS and third-party software
• Apply IT Service Management best practices for change, incident, and problem management; create and maintain runbooks, knowledge base, and wiki content
• Deliver exceptional customer service, coordinating with clients, support teams, and vendors to ensure satisfaction
• Facilitate knowledge transfer across the team to enable continuous improvement and growth
• Ensure security policies and processes are followed to support secure software development goals
• Embrace curiosity, accountability and a proactive mindset to drive quality and efficiency in service delivery

Responsabilità

• Experience writing programs in more than one language
• Two years of end user and system administrator consulting or equivalent first-level consulting experience
• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology)
• Fluency in English and Italian (preferred)
• Proof of right to work in Italy
• Experience in at least four of: SAS Administration or support; AWS and/or Azure; Kubernetes; enterprise software/hardware support or training; UNIX/Linux for enterprise apps; managing customer expectations; large cloud IT systems
• Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered
