Akronos Technologies, a leading Italian company in hi-tech engineering innovation and services, is looking for a Cloud Architect

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Architect to lead the design, implementation, and management of our cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of cloud computing technologies and best practices, with the ability to view the architecture from both a high-level and detailed perspective, ensuring strong scalability, security and data privacy.

Have expertise in GCP services for migrating workloads from On-Prem to GCP.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Design and implement cloud-based solutions that meet business requirements, ensuring a proactive approach to architecture.

- Develop scalable solutions that can adapt to changing business needs and workloads.

- Create cloud-native, modular, and lightweight architectures, avoiding monolithic and heavy, license-costly solutions.

- Evaluate and recommend cloud services and technologies.

- Develop cloud architecture strategies and roadmaps, including proper goal setting and planning principles, with a strong focus on compliance, qualification, and security best practices.

- Collaborate with development teams to ensure cloud solutions are integrated into the overall architecture.

- Monitor and optimize cloud performance, security, and costs, while effectively controlling budget and expenditures related to cloud infrastructure.

- Manage Azure DevOps (ADO) backlogs and perform sprint planning and execution for the squad.

- Automate infrastructure deployment using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform) and configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).

- Utilize GitHub and GitHub Actions/Pipelines for version control and CI/CD processes.

- Provide technical guidance and support to the squad or cloud-related projects.

- Document tasks and epics in Azure DevOps (ADO) for clarity and tracking.

- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, translating technical concepts into business language.

- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies.

- Understand the differences between modern cloud solutions and legacy on-premises architectures.

**Qualifications:**

- High experience in designing and building cloud infrastructure.

- High experience in automating code and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

- Proven experience as a Cloud Architect or similar role.

- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python.

- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to understand and speak business language.

- Strong background in security and data privacy, with knowledge of best practices in these areas.

- Familiarity with compliance standards and best practices in cloud environments.

- **Soft Skills:**

- Proactive mindset, able to anticipate challenges and propose solutions.

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- GCP or AWS or Azure architecture certification.
