Clinical Neuroscience Project Manager – MEMORIA™ Project:
- Part-time, unpaid during the early phase.
- Hybrid work model (remote and/or on-site in Milan, Rome, or Boston).
- Travel and meeting expenses will be reimbursed upon approval.
- An NDA must be signed.
This position is expected to evolve into a full-time permanent managerial contract once operational.
Institute Itech is an early-stage multinational company aiming to build a new model of society grounded in education, advanced technology, and social development.
We are now launching our first three innovation projects:
- MEMORIA ™ Project – Assistive technologies for cognitive support, monitoring, and caregiver tools
- Oxyleaf™ – Synthetic plants for urban energy generation, air purification, and heat mitigation
- Terra™ – Underground sensor systems for monitoring soil health, climate, and environmental conditions
The company is legally incorporated, but not yet operational. We are currently in the brainstorming and conceptualisation phase, launching our first pilot projects and defining the foundation of the business. Everything is being built from the ground up — with clarity of intent, ambition, and a long-term vision.
About the Role:
We are looking for a Project Manager for MEMORIA ™ Project , a medical innovation initiative that combines neuroscience, digital interfaces, and ethical AI to support patients affected by neurodegenerative disorders and their caregivers.
The ideal candidate will be a licensed physician, psychologist, or psychiatrist , with a strong academic and clinical background in neuroscience , preferably with experience or interest in research, cognitive technology, or neurorehabilitation .
As Project Manager, you will:
- Lead the scientific and clinical design of the project
- Coordinate interdisciplinary teams (medical, engineering, design, data science)
- Define the clinical use cases and target conditions
- Supervise medical validation and ethical compliance
- Interact with research institutions, hospitals, and patient advocacy networks
- Collaborate with the COO e CTO and product development teams
- Contribute to funding proposals, ethics approvals, and institutional partnerships
Requirements:
- Medical degree and license to practice OR registered psychologist/psychiatrist
- Specialisation, PhD or current doctoral path in neuroscience, neurology, psychiatry, or related fields
- Proven interest or experience in cognitive decline, neurodegenerative disorders, or brain health
- Strong project coordination and communication skills
- Fluency in English (Italian is a plus)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in interdisciplinary research or clinical trials
- Familiarity with assistive technologies, neurointerface systems, or AI for healthcare
- Previous work with patients, families, or institutions affected by Alzheimer’s or related conditions
- Interest in digital health, mental well-being, or ethical innovation

Time Commitment
