We are looking for a Clinical Application Specialist (CAS) to support Allotex’s clinical activities, surgeon collaboration, and continuous knowledge transfer related to our pioneering corneal tissue technology.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated optometrist, optician, or eye-care professional eager to grow in a dynamic, international MedTech environment.
You will work closely with surgeons, clinic staff, and our commercial team to ensure outstanding clinical outcomes and seamless communication across all partners.
Your Role and Key Responsibilities
Clinical Support & Training
- Assist surgeons and clinical teams during patient selection and surgical planning, procedural setup, and post-treatment follow-up.
- Ensure the consistent application of Allotex clinical standards and collect real-world insights from the field.
- Support onboarding and training of new surgeons and clinical staff through demonstrations, wetlabs and educational events.
Knowledge Sharing & Collaboration
- Capture and share clinical learnings, patient feedback, and workflow improvements with the broader Allotex team to accelerate know-how development.
- Work closely with the Milan commercial and marketing team to align field insights with communication tools and customer support initiatives.
Surgeon Relations & KOL Engagement
- Build trusted relationships with surgeons and staff, acting as their day-to-day contact for clinical questions and support.
- Support ongoing engagement with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), ensuring consistent communication and smooth coordination of clinical activities, studies, and events.
Ideal Candidate
- Degree in Optometry, Ophthalmic Technology, or related vision-science field.
- Practical experience in refraction, vision correction, or clinical work within ophthalmic clinics or optical centers.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills - confident interacting with surgeons and clinic teams.
- Proactive, structured, and eager to learn; thrives in a fast-moving, hands-on environment.
- Fluent in Italian and English (spoken and written).
- Based in Milan - willing to travel internationally (~30%).
