Civil field engineer (MOZAMBICO ON - SITE)

Location: Afungi, Mozambique.

Mission

Worksite will not be offshore, but nearshore (quay walls, dredging activities, jetties).

Candidate needs to prove design experience on these items, field engineering experiences and coordination skills. In particular, Marine Soil Engineering and/or Maritime Structural Engineering skills needs to be proved.

The Engineer executes the activities within his area of responsibility, ensuring compliance with the QA/QC and HSE.

Tasks

▪ Timely perform all technical tasks assigned by the Marine Field Coordinator, related with maritime design and soil engineering, as well as verification of technical documents, and quantities estimation if needed.

▪ Review of maritime design documents and technical documentation prepared by Others.

▪ Provide replies to the Site technical queries issued by Subcontractors.

▪ Support the approval process of the materials proposed by the Subcontractors, in line with design specifications and/or Project requirements/standards.

▪ Ensure interface with other Project Engineering Specialists, Designers and other Functions, Construction, Fabrication and Transport.

▪ Coordinate/supervise activities performed inside or outside the Company.

▪ Prepare technical specifications and other maritime-related documentation, if needed, and support the procurement dept. in technical evaluations.

▪ Write “Return of Experience” coming from activities performed at Site.
