Role: Cisco Consulting engineer
Start date - ASAP
Duration - 12 months initial contract + extension.
Job Location: Rome, Italy
Mode: Hybrid
Language - Fluent English.
As a Consulting Engineer, you will lead the design, deployment, and optimization of Cisco technologies to drive customer success. You’ll collaborate with clients to plan, configure, and troubleshoot solutions, ensuring alignment with business outcomes. Responsibilities include:
- Designing and implementing Cisco solutions across customer environments
- Supporting pre-sales and translating business needs into technical designs
- Creating documentation, simulations, and knowledge transfer materials
- Leading technology transitions and ensuring service integration
- Resolving complex issues through testing and collaboration
Role-Specific Tasks:
- Delivering project tasks and technical documentation (HLD, LLD, implementation plans)
- Using software tools for configuration and troubleshooting
- Acting as a key contact for issue resolution
- Sharing best practices and lessons learned
Project Scope:
- Resident engineer role based in Rome
- Daily collaboration with customer operations
- Focus on Data Center/ACI technologies
- Requires Italian and English language proficiency
- CCNP-level certification preferred.
