Chief Technology Officer (CTO) – Durst Group AG

Durst Group, a global leader in digital printing and software-driven innovation, is seeking a visionary and hands-on Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to partner directly with our CEO, Christoph Gamper. This is a key leadership position—both strategic and operational—blending bold thinking with technical excellence. You will define and drive Durst’s future technology roadmap with AI as a catalyst for innovation across robotics, automation, software, and platform architecture.

Your Responsibilities

• Define and implement Durst’s global technology strategy in close collaboration with the CEO.
• Immerse yourself in Durst’s core: the development of high-performance digital printing and production systems that shape industries worldwide.
• Drive innovation by integrating AI into every layer of product, platform, and process.
• Align engineering, software, and product teams under a clear operational framework and delivery mindset.
• Build and empower world-class international teams across software, AI, and advanced engineering.
• Define and evolve scalable platform and system architectures for modular product innovation.
• Establish agile structures and processes that accelerate the delivery of innovation.
• Represent Durst as a thought leader in global technology, transformation, and digital print production.
• Cultivate strategic partnerships with leading tech companies, universities, and research institutions.

Your Profile

• 10+ years of leadership experience in high-growth, technology-driven environments.
• Proven success in AI, software development, robotics, automation, and digital production systems.
• Track record of bringing complex innovation projects from concept to launch.
• Experience managing cross-functional, global R&D and software teams.
• Strong strategic and operational capabilities.
• Inclusive and empowering leadership style with outstanding communication skills.
• Entrepreneurial mindset, future-facing vision, and a pragmatic approach to risk.
• Fluent in English and German.
