Four Corners is a recruiter specialised in search and selection of professionals and managers in the Fashion, Luxury and Lifestyle market. On behalf of a Sporting Goods Company we are looking for a:

The Chief Sales Officer, reporting to the CEO, will be responsible to lead the business with a global scope. He/She will manage the sales team with a focus on driving revenue, maintain strong relationships with key accounts, and develop the business at European and global level. This role is focused on business development, on leading and partially building the sales staff team (eg. Sales Operations, Brand Experience) assuring also execution, results, and organizational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop relationships with key retail and distribution partners across Italy and Europe, in accordance with company goals and objectives;
  • Identify and pursue new distribution opportunities by expanding the company’s presence through new strategic partnerships and channels (wholesale, retail, e-commerce);
  • Utilize sell-through analysis and market performance data to identify opportunities for growth, optimize assortments, and improve partner profitability;
  • Develop joint business plans with strategic accounts to maximize revenue, market share, and brand visibility;
  • Act as the primary commercial point of contact for major accounts, ensuring long-term partnership development;
  • Manage and develop the sales resources within the territory, ensuring clear objectives, performance monitoring, and professional development;
  • Build and lead a go-to-market strategy and assure then the proper execution leveraging both on the direct sales team (wholesale, retail, e-com) and on the close collaboration with marketing, merchandising and supply chain teams;
  • Work closely with product, marketing, merchandising, supply chain, and finance teams to ensure the product assortment aligns with regional demand;
  • Provide market feedback and insights to inform product management, pricing strategies, and go-to-market initiatives.

Requirements and Skills

  • Proven experience in senior sales or key account leadership roles within Europe;
  • Strong knowledge of the Wholesale channel;
  • Strong expertise in key account management and data-driven sell-through analysis and proven relationship build;
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams;
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate data insights into actionable sales strategies;
  • Experience managing teams;
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills;
  • Experiences in retail management or e-com management would be appreciated;
  • Fluency in English; a second language would be an advantage.
