Overview

Location: Milan (or Rome). Official Residence required in one of these two cities.

Reporting to: CEO

Salary: €40/55K + Performance-based Uncapped OTE

(up to 120/150K if you hit your targets)

About AIVB

Founded in 2024 by Marco Tognoni and Matteo Testi, AIVB is an AI Venture Builder designed to scale innovation at speed. Our team of 28 is anchored by an elite engineering core, primarily AI PhDs, who transform complex research into vertical-specific powerhouses.

We operate through a Centralized Powerhouse that develops strategic blueprints for specialized spinoffs in high-impact sectors such as Fashion, Real Estate, and CyberDefense. We are "International by Design", English is our language and global scale is our target.

The Role: Chief Revenue Officer

  • We are looking for a strategic figure to serve as the Architect of our Revenue Ecosystem . This is a high-leverage leadership role with immense ownership. You aren\'t just hitting a quota; you are building the "Commercial Factory" that scales world-class AI startups.
  • Your mission is to create the "AIVB Commercial Blueprint" , a recognizable, high-performance GTM system. We are a young startup that started in 2024, we therefore need a very hands-on person that is ready to create a Sales Pipeline directly herself/himself, and then grow a Sales Team only after 6/9 months of provable sales methodology that can be scaled.

Key Responsibilities

  • The Revenue Engine Design the unified Go-to-Market framework, sales methodology, and growth stack (the "AIVB Way") that all spinoffs will inherit. You will build the repeatable playbook for moving to €3M ARR.
  • Commercial Validation Collaborate with the Founders, CTO, COO and Head of Product to validate market demand. Your job is to bridge the gap between "PhD-level AI" and "Contract-ready ROI," ensuring we don\'t just build cool tech, but solve expensive problems.
  • GTM Team Scaling You have the mandate to build entire commercial departments. You will recruit, structure, and mentor the Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success squads for each internal spinoff, once you have clearly tested the Sales Blueprint.
  • Executive Leadership Report to the CEO and act as a strategic peer to the CTO and CPO. You will ensure that engineering excellence and product roadmaps are perfectly aligned with market-readiness and investor expectations. You have broad experience in consultative sales, you worked in Consulting yourself.

Who You Are

  • Scaleup Veteran 5+ years as Head of Sales, VP of Sales or Head of Growth, ideally having led a B2B company through a high-growth phase. You have managed team and are comfortable in Leadership roles. You LOVE Selling.
  • The "Commercial Builder" Mindset You thrive on variety and complexity. You can pivot from designing an Enterprise sales motion for CyberSecurity in the morning to a PLG (Product-Led Growth) strategy for Fashion tech in the afternoon.
  • You are ok to work in a young startup environment where not every single process is yet outlined. You have the Founder mentality.
  • International Profile Experience in UK, US, or European startup ecosystems is essential. You are perfectly fluent in English. You have not worked only in Italy, nor for only italian entities. You deeply understand "North Star" metrics (CAC, LTV, Net Retention) and what Tier-1 US investors look for in a venture-backed startup.
  • Hands-on Architect You can define a 10,000-foot strategy and also roll up your sleeves to build a CRM workflow, draft a high-stakes pitch deck, or negotiate a pilot contract when the situation demands it.
