Job Description :
We are seeking a Strategic Finance Leader to drive growth and profitability in our organization. The ideal candidate will be a commercially astute CFO who can act as a key strategic partner to the CEO and Board.
The successful candidate will have a keen understanding of the dynamics of a private equity-backed business and experience working with a CEO, providing broader commercial and strategic value in an international business. They will also have a proven track record as a CFO in private equity-backed businesses and experience in improving internal and IT processes.
Key responsibilities will include :
- Providing strategic support to the senior management team in creating and delivering growth strategies, offering expert advice on growth opportunities and their execution.
- Leading M&A activities from a finance perspective, including financial and tax due diligence, deal structuring, and financing sources.
- Post-merger integration planning.
- Overseeing all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, cash flow management, and risk assessment.
- Producing consolidated group financials and reporting under IFRS.
- Developing and maintaining robust financial controls and processes to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
- Monitoring and analyzing financial performance, identifying areas for improvement, and recommending corrective actions.
- Providing timely and accurate financial information to internal stakeholders, investors, and the board.
- Managing the annual audit process and ensuring compliance with all relevant financial reporting standards.
- Building and leading a high-performing finance team through guidance, coaching, and mentorship.
Required skills and qualifications :
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
- Proven track record as a CFO in private equity-backed businesses.
- Experience working with a CEO, providing broad commercial and strategic value in an international context.
- Experience in consultancy or professional services businesses.
- Experience in improving internal and IT processes.
- M&A experience, including post-merger integration.
- Experience in securing and managing debt financing.
- Experience delivering shareholder value through successful exits, either PE or trade.
- Exceptional leadership and management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- European language skills are advantageous.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a results-oriented mindset.
