To further strengthen our growing hotel portfolio in Italy, we are looking for an experienced

Head of Finance – Hotels Italy

who will play a key role in steering the financial performance and operational efficiency of our Italian hotel operations.

Your Role

As Head of Finance – Hotels Italy , you will oversee and steer the commercial and financial operations of the Italian hotel portfolio, ensuring efficient processes, transparency in reporting, and sustainable profitability. Working closely with operations and corporate departments, you will act as a strategic partner for hotel management and group leadership.

Your Responsibilities:

• Oversee and steer all commercial and financial processes for the Italian hotels in close collaboration with the Managing Director Operations and the General Managers , ensuring efficient structures and sustainable return on investment.
• Ensure timely, accurate, and relevant financial reporting , including monthly closings, in close coordination with the Controlling Department.
• Conduct regular visits to the hotels and hold meetings with local management teams to review operational and administrative processes.
• Maintain continuous exchange with the Director of Controlling to optimize processes and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of planning and financial closing procedures.
• Work closely with the Director of Controlling and the Cluster Controllers responsible for the Italian Hotels & Residences in day-to-day operations.
• Ensure compliance with group accounting and reporting standards across all Italian hotel entities.
• Ensure adherence to FMTG Group insurance standards , including supervision and control of local insurance management.
• Monitor compliance with local legal requirements in HR and payroll across Italian entities.
• Review and approve budgets of the subordinate hotel and residence companies together with the Managing Director Operations.
• Collaborate effectively with the CFO Italy and the Director of Controlling Italy in the management of ongoing business operations.
• Maintain strong cross-functional cooperation with Marketing & PR, Group HR, and IT .
• Prepare and deliver financial reporting to property owners where hotels operate under management contracts.
• Act as key interface to financing partners and banks

Your Profile:

• Several years of senior finance leadership experience , ideally in the hospitality, tourism, or service industry.
• Strong expertise in financial management, controlling, accounting, and reporting standards .
• Proven ability to translate financial insights into operational improvements .
• Experience working in multi-property or international environments is highly desirable.
• Strong leadership, analytical thinking, and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel regularly to the hotels within Italy .
• Fluent in English and Italian ; German is an advantage
