Job Description

The CFO will be responsible for the following activities:

  • Lead and coordinate the activities of the Administration, Finance, and Management Control functions.
  • Implement a management control model based on the development of an analytical accounting and reporting system focused on budgeting and monitoring company performance, supporting the business strategy.
  • Manage the financial structure with a focus on debt, cash flow, working capital, and optimization of the net financial position, including project and acquisition financing processes related to international industrial investments.
  • Oversee treasury operations by ensuring integrated management of relationships with banks and financial institutions, compliance with contractual clauses, and preparation of related documentation.
  • Prepare budget plans and periodic economic-financial reports, ensuring compliance with accounting principles (OIC/IFRS) and tax and corporate regulations in the relevant countries.
  • Supervise the accuracy of administrative and accounting flows and the timeliness of tax and corporate compliance in accordance with applicable regulations and tariffs.
  • Ensure the analysis of company performance through planning and control tools, analyse variances against the budget, and implement corrective actions when possible and within own competence.
  • Guarantee the periodic preparation of economic, asset, and financial reports.
  • Support operational and technical functions in the economic-financial analysis of development projects, industrial investments, and strategic initiatives related to renewable energy.
  • Assist management in M&A processes, integration of new companies, and potential operations involving Private Equity funds.
  • Manage relationships with consulting and auditing firms, ensuring credibility and reliability in relations with financial and institutional stakeholders.
  • Ensure the coordination and development of the AFC team, guaranteeing its capabilities and competencies.

The Successful Applicant

Candidate requirements for the position:

  • Solid experience in the role of CFO within structured organizations, backed by Private Equity funds, preferably with a strong international focus and operating in the industrial and energy sectors.
  • Proven skills in Administration, Finance, and Control, with a strong background in management control and finance.
  • Direct experience in managing extraordinary transactions and M&A activities.
  • In-depth knowledge of economic, asset, and financial reporting aimed at institutional investors, as well as structured finance operations (LBO, project financing).
  • Experience in corporate finance management and handling relationships with investors and banking institutions.
  • Ability to lead and develop AFC teams, including in multicultural environments distributed across multiple countries.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proactive attitude towards engaging with entrepreneurs, investors, and institutional stakeholders.
  • Pragmatic, collaborative, and results-oriented approach, with strong analytical skills and a proactive, flexible mindset.
  • Familiarity with advanced ERP systems and integrated reporting tools (SAP).
  • Fluent command of the English language.
