PES ENGINEERING was born from the Engineering Division of PES, founded in 1979, and currently has over 200 resources in its permanent engineering staff, boasting significant experience in the Oil & Gas, Power, Renewable Energy, Chemical, Petrochemical and Automotive sectors.

PES ENGINEERING provides engineering and technical services (Civil, Rotating Machinery, Static Equipment, Process, HSE Design, Electro-Instrumental, Layout & Piping), offering over 200,000 hours of engineering per year to all major Oil & Gas Companies, EPC Contractors, Industrial Manufacturers, etc.

Currently, PES ENGINEERING has 8 Locations in Italy: HQ in Rosignano Solvay (LI), Livorno,San Donato Milanese, Florence, Rome, Bari, Vibo Marina (VV), Gela. In the near future, it will also open an office in Abu Dhabi to be closer to its main customers and extend its reach.

that will ensure that the activities related to the machinery and packages engineering discipline within the assigned project are efficiently and cost-effectively executed in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards and safety/environment requirements.

Purpose / Role

 Ensure that the activities related to the Civil & Structural engineering discipline are efficiently and cost-effectively

executed in accordance with contract specification, quality standards and safety requirements

 Lead the Technical Assurance process for the assigned project

Key objectives

 Ensure that the engineering is developed in respect of Contract, Quality, Safety, and Environment requirements,

within the specific Time Schedule and Cost.

 Lead the Engineer/s allocated to the project assigned, defining main guidelines and project tasks.

 Interact with the Client as key person for the Civil & Structural discipline.

Primary responsibilities and duties

 Prepare the deliverables planning of the Civil & Structural discipline, in line with the project schedule.

 Control, review and monitor any progress deviation from the plan and set up recovery plan, as necessary.

 Plan discipline engineering mhrs in line with the progress schedule and budget. Control review and monitor any

deviation (spent mhrs vs earned mhrs).

 Approve all deliverables issued by the Civil & Structural discipline for the project.

 Ensure that Civil & Structural engineering is developed with the proper coordination among the other disciplines.

Perform/participate to the squad checks.

 Support Construction Department in the Work Requisitions process (quantities, scope of work, work description, bids

tech. evaluation, follow up, approval of techn. documentation etc.)

 Analyse project constraints and take prompt actions in order to solve any issue arising during engineering

development.

 Ensure a sound and reliable project quantity estimate and control.

 Propose optimization/changes in order to minimize quantity/costs or optimize project schedule

 Support Site Technical Office during erection and commissioning phases

 Prepare pre-calculation for quantity estimate purpose during bid phase

 Interact with Estimating Team in order to prepare an accurate quantity/cost estimate during bid phase

Other duties

 Support the Project management Team in case of dispute/claims related to the Civil & Structural Discipline

 Support the Civil & Structural Discipline Manager proposing improvement to standard procedures and design

methodologies.

Core competencies

 Civil & Structural Engineering background

 Knowledge of major international Civil & Structural Codes

 Structural calculation knowledge

 Experience in Civil & Structural Engineering leading in large EPC/Energy projects

 Specific competence in Geotechnical field (optional but important plus)

 Fluent written and spoken English

 Minimum 10-15 year-experience in Civil Engineering for large EPC/Energy projects

 Bachelor/Master Degree in Civil Engineering
