The Pantheon Iconic Rome Hotel, Autograph Collection, one of the most vibrant and dynamic 5-star hotels in Rome, is looking for a passionate and service-oriented Chef de Rang – Breakfast & Room Service to join our Food & Beverage team.
Position Overview
The Chef de Rang – Breakfast & Room Service is responsible for delivering an exceptional guest experience during breakfast service and in-room dining operations. The role requires professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to manage service independently while maintaining the highest luxury hospitality standards.
Responsibilities
The Chef de Rang will be responsible for the following duties, responsibilities, and assignments:
- Independently manage Breakfast and In-Room Dining (Room Service) operations, ensuring excellent, timely, and personalized service to guests
- Welcome, assist, and serve guests in a courteous, professional, and warm manner
- Present menus, provide detailed descriptions of dishes and beverages, and offer recommendations when appropriate
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and communicate them efficiently to kitchen and bar staff
- Serve food and beverages elegantly, ensuring all presentation and quality standards are met
- Set up, maintain, and clear service areas and tables, ensuring cleanliness and organization at all times
- Collaborate closely with team members to ensure smooth service flow and guest satisfaction
- Handle guest requests, feedback, and complaints promptly and professionally
- Maintain thorough knowledge of the hotel’s outlets, services, promotions, and special events
- Ensure full compliance with hygiene, safety, and health regulations
Skills & Qualifications
To successfully fill this role, you should demonstrate the following skills, experience, and values:
- Proven experience as a Chef de Rang in a hotel of the same category, preferably within Luxury Marriott properties
- Excellent command of Italian and English ;
additional languages are considered a plus - High school diploma or GED;
previous experience in the Food & Beverage sector or a related professional area - Strong organizational skills, calm under pressure, with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs preferred
- Proficiency in Selz PMS systems required
