Employerland, on behalf of a luxury 5-star hotel in Cortina d'Ampezzo, is looking for a Chef De Rang.


Job Description

Chef de rang is a role within the front-of-house staff and plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality service to guests.

Responsibilities

Coordination& team collaboration:

  • Oversee the service team and ensure smooth coordination during service hours.
  • Assign tasks to other waitstaff and culinary support staff, ensuring that each team member knows their responsibilities.
  • Train new waiters staff members on service procedures, menu knowledge, and customer interaction.
  • Collaborate with culinary staff and other front-of-house personnel to ensure seamless communication and cooperation

Table Service:

  • Responsible for providing excellent and attentive table service to guests.
  • Take orders from guests, present menus, and provide recommendations when requested.
  • Possess a deep understanding of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and presentation.
  • Serve food and beverages promptly and with attention to detail.

Customer Relations:

  • Interact with guests in a professional and kindlymanner, addressing any concerns or special requests.
  • Ensure that guests have a positive dining experience and address any issues that may arise during their visit.
  • Be aware of specials, promotions, and any additional offeringsand promote additional sales through suggestive up-selling techniques.

Ordering and Inventory:

  • Assist in managing inventory levels for beverages, glassware, and other service-related items.
  • Place orders for supplies as needed, ensuring that there are no shortages during service.

Hygiene and Cleanliness:

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including dining tables, service stations, and equipment.
  • Adhere to hygiene and sanitation standards to ensure a safe and healthy environment.


Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a waiter in a luxury hotel or fine-dining restaurant is preferred.
  • Knowledge of culinary techniques, food preparation, and food and beverage management.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in multiple languages is considered a plus.
  • Availability to work on shifts and on weekends.
