CSOis looking for Counselors to work in our CBHC (Community Behavioral HealthClinic) Emergency Services Program (ESP) in Florence.

Our Emergency ServicePrograms (ESPs) offer clients behavioral health assessments, intervention andstabilization (for youth, families and adults,) 24-hour availability, and are apreferred alternative to hospital emergency departments. We provide dailyassessment and brief counseling, case management, nursing support and peersupport.

This position will be responsible for the care and treatment of assigned program clients, as well as specific tasks necessary to program operation.

Starting Salary: $38,000-$44,000/year

As a CBHC ESP Counselor:

You Will:

  • Provide supportive, therapeutic counseling and safetyfor clients utilizing the program
  • Assist clients with activities of daily living,including self-care, cooking, recreation, and medication administrationand documentation according to individual treatment plans and, forovernight shifts, following program procedures for clients
  • Function as an active member of the Treatment Team, ona day-to day basis, in the therapeutic setting including:Monitorrespite clients, including hourly bed checks and documentation, andprovide closer observation as needed
  • Answer and direct crisis telephone calls according toestablished procedures and as required for program support
  • Prepare daily evening meal for clients and staff ifworking the evening shift
  • Present cases to insurance companies and obtain priorapprovals as assigned

Your Background:

  • Bachelors' Degree with 2 years of experience workingwith similar populations
  • High School Diploma and/or Associate's degree may besubstituted for 5 years of experience
  • Valid Driver's license and reliable transportationrequired
