Tasks

What you'll do:

  • Oversee GHA services to ensure contract and quality standards
  • Oversee services to ensure contract and quality standards
  • Lead regular meetings to review and improve performance
  • Monitor subcontractor performance and request improvements as needed
  • Analyze performance data using the SPC (Station Performance Cockpit) tool
  • Act as main contact for GHAs during irregularities or escalations
  • Ensure strict safety and security compliance
  • Make operational decisions and manage emergencies when required
  • Supervise daily activities and conduct spot checks to ensure quality
  • Lead, motivate, and assess team members, including agency staff
  • Optimize staffing levels to maintain high service standards
  • Share regular feedback with management to support team and GHA evaluations
  • Deliver briefings and drive local process improvements

Requirements

The ideal candidateshould meet the following requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required; a bachelor’s degree is a plus
  • 5+ years of experience in logistics, airfreight handling, or operations required
  • Italian and English proficiency is a must; German language skills are a plus
  • Experience with FCO airport operations, handling special shipments or managing relationships with local stakeholders is highly valued
  • Solid knowledge of the cargo industry (handling management, airport infrastructures, and facilities)
  • Familiarity with industry KPIs, particularly Cargo iQ dimensions
  • Knowledge/certifications related to special cargo handling, as well as experience with Italy’s cargo industry and FCO airport facilities, are highly valued
  • Qualification according to CHM / GOM
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong customer service orientation and commitment to excellence
  • Demonstrated professionalism, reliability, and sense of responsibility
  • Collaborative team player
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license and work permit
