About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Career Advisor and Partner Development Specialist to join our team on a maternity cover contract. This role combines student career advising with partnership development, requiring excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting students’ professional growth and in strengthening relationships with existing and potential employer partners.
Career Advising & Student Support
- Review and provide feedback on students’ CVs, résumés, and cover letters.
- Conduct one-to-one career counseling sessions to guide students through their professional development and internship/job search strategies.
- Support students in identifying internship and employment opportunities aligned with their career goals.
- ·Assist with organizing and promoting career workshops, panels, and events.
Partnership Development
- Research and identify new partnership opportunities for internships and job placements.
- Maintain regular communication with current partners to renew and strengthen collaborations.
- Support the coordination of partner engagement initiatives and employer events.
- Contribute to the expansion of the institution’s network of companies and organizations.
Communications & Outreach
- Collaborate on the creation and distribution of e-newsletters for students featuring career resources, job opportunities, and events.
- Brainstorm and develop engaging social media content related to career development and partnerships.
- Contribute to marketing materials and web updates promoting career services.
- Manage and update content in the Careers Office Symplicity CRM platform, including creating newsletters, posting job opportunities, scheduling meetings with students, and performing other related administrative and communication tasks.
- Bachelor’s degree required;
Master’s degree preferred. - Previous experience in career advising, employer relations, or higher education strongly preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Strong writing and editing abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.).
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
