locations: Florence | OYA | Camp Florence## Florence, Oregon - **CAMP FLORENCE TRANSITIONAL FACILITY**The Oregon Youth Authority (OYA) is seeking a **Camp Director** at Camp Florence Transitional Facility in Florence, Oregon. This role provides a unique opportunity to lead a small, dynamic residential transition program for youth ages 16–24 as they prepare to successfully re-enter their communities. The Camp Director oversees all aspects of operations in a 24/7 environment, including youth services, staff supervision, community engagement, safety, and equity-centered leadership.In this role, you will establish and coordinate youth work programs in partnership with public agencies and private employers to expand employment opportunities for youth. You will provide ongoing accountability to staff to meet facility service expectations, support the creation and maintenance of a Positive Human Development (PHD) environment, and ensure safety and security standards are consistently upheld. Additionally, you will establish and maintain positive community relations through program promotion and ongoing communication, strengthening partnerships and community trust.The ideal candidate demonstrates strong communication and administrative skills, a commitment to youth development, and the ability to lead with vision, integrity, and purpose in alignment with OYA’s mission to protect the public and reduce crime by providing opportunities for youth reformation in safe, supportive environments.**Top Duties of the Position:*** Establishes and maintains positive community relations through program promotion and communication.* Establishes and coordinates youth work programs in conjunction with public agencies and private employers to provide youth employment opportunities.* Provides ongoing accountability to the staff to meet facility services expectations relating to the fundamental practices, creation of and maintenance of a PHD environment within the facility and ensures safety and security measures are upheld.**Minimum Qualifications:**Five years of lead work, supervision, or progressively related experience; **OR**two years of related experience and a Bachelor’s degree in a related field.**Desired Attributes:**If you have these qualities, let us know.
