Buyer (Fashion) - maternity cover

Role Overview

The Buyer supports QVC Italy and will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing and merchandising a specific product range in a timely and efficient manner, in order to maximize the company’s net profit contribution.

Location & Work Arrangement

This role is hybrid and will require you to be onsite in Brugherio (MB) several days per month; onsite days are predetermined and standard across the company.

It is a full-time temporary contract for maternity cover.

Responsibilities

• Source, select, and secure a suitable range of products for QVC that fits the target market.
• Actively identify and secure new brands to expand QVC's portfolio, ensuring we move beyond the existing brand matrix.
• Negotiate the best possible prices and conditions.
• Work closely with the Planning team to review product performance, and to plan and grow the product range.
• Monitor inventory levels, taking accountability for the return-to-supplier process.
• Meet regularly with suppliers to review product performance.

Qualifications

• At least 2–3 years of experience as a fashion retail buyer.
• A degree in Economics or equivalent.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Strong negotiation and sourcing skills.
• A proactive mindset, strong personal accountability and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate successfully across teams.
• Fluency in English and Italian.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary: 42.000,00 € - 33.600,00 €.
