Job Description

The Business Unit Director sHTG is a senior leadership role within the Italian affiliate. The BUD is responsible for establishing, building, and leading the Business Unit for the launch and lifecycle management of Tryngolza.

The role requires exemplary cross‑functional leadership, deep stakeholder engagement, and an ability to operate strategically and operationally in a dynamic environment.

Key Objectives and Responsibilities

Leadership & Execution

  • Lead the BU (Sales & Marketing) with one aligned customer/stakeholder approach.
  • Own and execute Italy launch and post-launch strategy for Tryngolza, aligned with EU/Global.
  • Convert strategy into operational plans, KPIs, and disciplined execution.
  • Define BU structure, FTE, and OPEX for launch and sustainable growth.
  • Ensure strong cross‑functional alignment (Medical Affairs/pace, Patient Access, broader org) and one external voice.
  • Drive sales force effectiveness and a culture of excellence.
  • Use data to shape omnichannel strategy, increasing SoV and customer engagement.
  • Build/maintain relationships with KOLs, PAGs, scientific societies, and market access stakeholders.
  • Represent Sobi sHTG externally and in global working groups.
  • Maintain deep knowledge of landscape, pathways, and competitors for the indication.

P&L, Performance & Compliance

  • Deliver sales, market share, and strategic KPIs; provide market/competitor insights to region/global.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Recruit, develop, and lead high‑performing teams; address capability gaps with development plans.
  • Build an organization positioning Sobi as sHTG leader for Tryngolza.

Required

  • University degree in science, medicine, or business
  • 15+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience
  • Proven commercial leadership with successful product launches
  • Strong experience in specialty care (preferred in cardiometabolic area)
  • Demonstrated success in sales/marketing leadership roles
  • Strong understanding of country healthcare and market access systems
  • Experience managing significant budgets and forecasting
  • Fluent in English, with excellent communication and influencing skills
  • Prior involvement across the full lifecycle of specialty medicines
  • Experience operating in highly complex or rapidly evolving disease areas
