Overview
Senior Renewable Energy Project Developer to lead the full lifecycle of utility-scale renewable energy projects, including origination, partnerships, bidding, and execution. This is a strategic, cross-functional role that sits at the heart of new market entry and project development. You will report to a senior executive and collaborate with international business development leads to identify high-impact opportunities and bring them to commercial close.
Responsibilities
- Identify and assess new project opportunities, partnerships, and acquisition targets.
- Structure joint ventures and consortia with local and international players.
- Manage the full bid process, from initial application through to negotiation and award.
- Lead strategic, technical, and financial due diligence.
- Build and validate the project's financial model and risk profile.
- Monitor national and regional regulatory frameworks and incentives.
- Oversee external advisors (legal, engineering, commercial) and service providers.
- Coordinate on offtake agreements (PPA, BRP / ARP) with internal energy management teams.
- Ensure a smooth handover to implementation teams post-commercial close.
- Contribute to broader strategic development of new markets, business lines, and partnerships.
Requirements
- 8–12 years' experience in business development, project finance, M&A, or transactional roles.
- Background in renewable energy is mandatory.
- Proven track record in originating and closing complex infrastructure projects.
- Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills in competitive environments.
- Experience managing diverse stakeholders : internal teams, partners, advisors.
- Ability to operate across financial, legal, technical, and regulatory dimensions.
- Fluent English required; French or another European language is a plus.
