Goppion SpA is the market leader in the design, manufacture and installation of bespoke museum display cases for the world’s most presigious museums. As part of its continued expansion, the company seeks a Business Development Manager.

The role is suited to an experienced professional, with a strong technical background, that has worked in a similar position with companies operating on project/contract basis.


Key responsibilities include :

  • Source and develop international business leads with museums, architects, designers and cultural institutions internationally.
  • Be responsible for managing, coordinating and growing strategic relationships and commercial partnerships
  • Work closely with the family-led company and the business development department, to lead the development of bids, tenders and/ or negotiations up to the successful conclusion
  • Create and conduct proposal presentations to potential clients
  • Able to work with Company Representatives in international markets
  • As a key member of the business development team, contribute to the business’ growth, innovation and profitability


Required Qualifications

  • Industry recognized degree in architecture or engineering, and, preferably, a post graduate qualification
  • Able to legally work in Italy
  • Able to speak, read and write English, Italian and French fluently
  • Experience with customized construction project work in international markets in private and public sectors
  • 5+ years’ experience in business development or sales management role
  • Able to travel abroad frequently
  • Strong communication and presentation skills and knowledgeable of other cultures
  • Excellent problem solving and organizational skills
  • Flexible and open attitude towards new ways of working and commitment to independent, lifelong learning
  • Familiarity with museums, cultural institutions, designers, architects in public and private sectors and not-for-profit environments
