Business Development Specialist – Fintech / Payments (Milan, Hybrid)
Location: Milan, Lombardy, Italy (Hybrid – 2 remote days/week)
ABOUT THE ROLE
my client is looking for a Business Development Specialist to help grow the Italian market for a fast-scaling European fintech working in the payments space.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys ownership, is naturally curious, and understands the value of building long-term commercial relationships — especially in eCommerce and digital-first environments . We need somebody with experience in Sales in the area of ecommerce and ideally payments. This is not a KAM role, it is a pure sales position and we are looking for someone with a motivation for sales.
You’ll have the chance to work with a solid product, in a company that’s profitable, agile, and expanding across Europe.
what will you do?:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in the Italian eCommerce/payments market
- Manage the full sales cycle: from prospecting to closing
- Work cross-functionally with marketing, product, and operations
- Help shape the local commercial strategy and future sales structure
- Represent the company in client meetings and relevant industry events
We are looking for:
- 3–5 years of B2B sales experience (ideally with complex or long-cycle products)
- Background in fintech, payments, SaaS, or eCommerce
- Creative, strategic approach to business development
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Fluent in Italian and English
- Based in Milan or able to commute easily
